It was suggested that the first target of change is non other "reinventing the wheel".
"The first automobile industry — Changing the world’s industrial structure — Ultralight, hybrid-drive Hypercars — Starting at one percent efficiency — Making light cars safe — The hydrogen-fuel-cell revolution — The end of the Iron Age — Birth control for cars — From commuting to community"
Quoted from Natural Capitalism: Creating the Next Industrial Revolution, Paul Hawken, Amory B. Lovins, and L. Hunter Lovins. http://www.natcap.org
I think this is such a clear cut case for change, as example, making cars lighter and mass produced will reduce the product costs which benefits all.
Why is this ain't happening? What drivers can trigger this change?
